Introducing: JustMoney Champions
Help us work for a fairer, greener future.
In September 2023, we will be launching a new network of JustMoney Champions. Champions are a key part of our strategy for building a movement of people who are passionate about the just use of money – people like you!
JustMoney Champions engage others in their local churches and communities in reflection and action on issues of money, faith and justice. This might include:
- Speaking at a church service, to a small group, or facilitating a workshop.
- Hosting a stall at a local event or volunteering with us at a national conference or festival.
- Writing an article for a church newsletter or a blog for a website.
- Encouraging others to pray, act and speak out e.g. by sharing a campaign action.
Champions can be based throughout the UK and are supported by our staff team through training, resources, and belonging to a network of activists. You may be particularly interested in one aspect of our work, or willing to engage with a broad range of issues. You don’t need to be an expert to join in – we’ll give you what you need to take action where you are.
This might be the right role for you if you:
- Share the vision and values of the JustMoney Movement
- Have an interest in economic justice and ethical finance
- Enjoy communicating with others
- Want help to begin a journey of activism and advocacy
We will support you with the following:
- Training and ongoing support from JustMoney staff
- Regular briefings and Zoom gatherings to equip and inspire you
- Materials and resources to facilitate you in your role
- A community of like-minded activists to encourage one another
We want to give you the tools to begin working for a greener, fairer future in your church community and beyond.
