Sarah Edwards, our Executive Director since April 2021, will be leaving JustMoney Movement at the end of the summer.
Sarah says:
After over five years as Executive Director it’s been a big decision that I have been pondering for a while. I will of course be sad to leave but it’s the right timing. I have started training for ordination in the Church of England, and my plan is to concentrate on this over the next couple of years.
I’m really proud of everything that we have achieved over the past 5 and a bit years, including rebranding to JustMoney Movement in 2022, growing our resourcing and training on ethical finance, hosting the Church Action for Tax Justice campaign, and running a range of campaigns and projects for a greener, fairer financial system, where we have started to see real impact. Our reach across the UK churches has grown significantly, including through our pioneering work with Black-led churches, and we’ve also worked closely with a range of secular and inter-faith partners.
I am hugely appreciative of the staff team, the trustees and the many partners and allies who support and collaborate with us. I will miss the people most of all – but hope to stay in touch, especially through my church training placement at St Mary-le-Bow in the City.”
JustMoney Movement’s Chair, Geoff Moore, comments:
Sarah has been an excellent Executive Director, steering the JustMoney Movement (including its rebranding) with faith, wisdom and energy. Sarah will be much missed, but we hope to build on the legacy she leaves. We wish her all the very best for what’s next to come.”
Sarah will stay in post until the end of August 2026, and the Board is making plans to recruit her successor, initially on an interim basis.
