June – July 2022, online

It can be hard to talk about money. Many of us want to take positive action with our finances, but don’t know where to start. Meeting together on Zoom over four weeks we’ll explore how, individually and collectively, we can help shape a fairer, greener world through our financial choices.

ECCR is delighted to be partnering with Woodbrooke to offer this course, using material developed for our Money Makes Change programme.

The course includes live Zoom sessions at 19:30-21:00 (UK time) on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 15 June 2022
  • Wednesday 22 June 2022
  • Wednesday 29 June 2022
  • Wednesday 6 July 2022

Our use of money – as individuals and faith communities – is part of how we bear witness to our values and our hope for the future. This course will help you connect your finances (banking, pension/investments, spending) with your concern for the climate crisis and other justice issues.

Through online sessions, supportive discussions and material for individual reflection we’ll explore ethical issues around money and how to speak up for change. While we can’t offer specific financial advice, you’ll go away with tools for decision making and ideas for practical action.

The course will be facilitated by Rosie Venner, ECCR’s Money Makes Change programme manager.

Woodbrooke’s learning programmes seek to support, inform and transform Quakers and others as individuals and communities. Find out more about other Woodbrooke courses here
