The impact of the Fairtrade movement means that many of us have switched to buying Fairtrade products. Perhaps your congregation is a Fairtrade Church. You may be exploring how to put fairness at the heart of your spending decisions. What actions can we take with our finances to ‘be the change’ we want to see in the world?
Shared Interest works with over 11,500 investors, pooling their £51 million of investment, to provide loans and credit facilities to primarily fair trade businesses. Our work is not just about providing finance on fair terms. The fair trade producers we help say that we have helped transform their communities.
ECCR’s Money Makes Change initiative helps Christians explore and make ethical choices with money, opening up conversations about how we spend, save, invest and campaign to shape a fairer, more sustainable world. ECCR is the Ecumenical Council for Corporate Responsibility and has a long history of equipping Christians to speak out on issues of economic justice and hold the corporate world accountable.
