Our keynote speaker Dr Gideon Bakare will explore the theme of economic deprivation, mental health and possible solutions in the Black community.
Dr Bakare is a pastor, teacher, church leader, Bible scholar, evangelist, missionary, professional counsellor, author and prayer warrior, who has served in pastoral ministry for over 30 years both in Nigeria and the UK. He is currently the senior pastor of Evangelical Global Outreach Church (EGOC) London and a lecturer at St Joseph Christian College. Dr Bakare completed his PhD from the Department of Theology and Religion, University of Birmingham, and his research interests include biblical wisdom, hermeneutics, leadership and pastoral ministry. He leads a private counselling practice in London and is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
