Tuesday, 5th October | Newcastle upon Tyne
An evening – with short talks, Q&A, conversation and cake – exploring how we can respond to the climate crisis.
During Good Money Week 2021, and as part of the Young Christian Climate Network (YCCN) Relay residency in Newcastle come and find out more about the role of money in tackling the climate crisis.
With speakers from ECCR’s Money Makes Change programme, Shared Interest and Operation Noah, we’ll explore how we can ensure money is used to protect God’s creation and shape a fairer, more hopeful future for everyone.
- What can we do with the money we steward – as individuals and churches?
- How can we put pressure on banks, pension funds and businesses?
- What practical actions can we take through where we bank, invest or spend?
- How can we support producers and farmers affected by the climate crisis?
There will also be time to pray for the YCCN walkers as the relay continues to Glasgow in the coming weeks.
Fairtrade refreshments will be served during the event.
