Calling everyone who is concerned about the climate emergency! Here’s a creative activity that you could take part in during lockdown – individually or as part of an online church group or Quaker meeting.

The Loving Earth Project invites people to consider the following questions:

    • Is there something, someone or somewhere that you know and love which is endangered by environmental break-down?
    • How does your lifestyle contribute to that threat?
    • What could you do, or are you doing, to help reduce that threat?

You are invited to explore these questions creatively, and if you wish to make a textile panel 30x30cm (plus borders), illustrating your answer to one of these queries, and to write a few words about your response to all three of them. These panels will be displayed virtually (and when it is possible, as part of a travelling exhibition).

At ECCR we believe that there are many different ways that we can steward God’s resources wisely, make ethical choices with our finances and raise our voices to create a fairer, more sustainable world – from supporting businesses that are tackling climate change, to switching to an ethical bank account. What is your response?
